Overseas ambulance officers and medics are regulated in different ways.
One of the closest examples to being registered under the Health Practitioners’ competence Assurance Act is the way regulation of the profession is done in the UK, where individual ambulance officers and medics are registered in a similar way to how the New Zealand Act works. Here’s some thoughts from two people who have worked in that system.
